Businesses are being offered a new way to get the right information, advice and support they need to grow and succeed.
FindBusinessSupport.gov.scot is a new website offering access to around 200 products and services plus hundreds of events from Business Gateway, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Interface, Scottish Enterprise, Skills Development Scotland and VisitScotland.
Interface is delighted to be one of the first partners to be involved with this project. The site has been built based on the views of businesses across Scotland who said they wanted an easier way of accessing support. Hundreds of employers have been involved in the testing of the site and will continue to be involved as development continues. The enterprise and skills agencies have worked together so businesses can, for the first time, see and access the most commonly searched for products they collectively offer as organisations. This includes a full view of all public events such training opportunities, networking events and industry seminars. Businesses are able to specify criteria for products and services and filter events according to their own needs.
The ambition for the site is to have all offers of support from across the public sector in the one place, with products and services from more public organisations being added during 2020.
This website is one of a range of commitments identified in the refreshed Economic Action Plan for Scotland, which was launched by Scottish Government in Edinburgh on the 22nd January 2020.
The Economic Action Plan also states that Business Research and Development in Scotland is closely linked to the world-leading R&D taking place in universities. The Scottish Government will continue to support university research activities in Scotland, and related interactions with businesses, through the Scottish Funding Council, one of Interface’s key funders.
