HealthTech firm Bioliberty have secured £6.2million in funding to scale their rehabilitation technology. Based at The National Robotarium in Edinburgh, the company develops AI-enabled, soft-robotic wearable devices to support physical rehabilitation, aiming to improve patient outcomes.  The funding will support continued product development and manufacturing in Scotland, alongside expansion in the US, where its technology is already deployed. Utilising Interface’s services, Bioliberty were connected into the knowledge base at University of Edinburgh.

Forge Minerals has closed a £1 million funding round, the company are focused on turning waste CO₂ into high-purity mineral products that can directly replace today’s carbon-intensive materials — starting with magnesium carbonate. This funding will allow them to deepen their technical work, validate products with customers, and prepare for initial commercial deployment. Interface are proud to have played a small part of Forge Minerals journey so far!

Congratulations to Annandale Distillery in Dumfries and Galloway, who recently made headlines with the announcement that they are to be the first in the world to use a new environmentally-friendly way of producing the heat needed to make whisky. Interface have worked with the team at Annandale, helping build relationships with Robert Gordon University and Edinburgh Napier University.
