Siobhán founded the Interface programme in 2005, implementing the vision of a central point of access for matching business challenges to world-leading research in Scottish Universities and Colleges.
She holds degrees in Biotechnology and Process Engineering from Dublin City University and a PhD in human genetics from Trinity College, Dublin. Previous posts include senior researcher at the Medical Research Council, Human Genetics Unit and Applications Manager for the Proof of Concept Programme, Scottish Enterprise. Her particular areas of expertise are in the development and management of impactful programmes aimed at:
- Enhanced innovation in industry
- Effective collaboration between Universities and industry
- The commercialisation of academic research
- Leadership and strategic development
Siobhán has a wealth of experience in the worlds of business and academia and is a member of Scotland Can Do Business Innovation Forum, Chemical Sciences Scotland Leadership Group and the Board of Colleges Development Network. She is passionate about supporting emerging leaders in an ever-changing world and is a visiting facilitator at The Leadership Trust. A keen runner, Siobhán also enjoys attending theatre and modern Scottish art.
