Join Interface this spring as we hit the road with some of the wonderful business academic partnerships, we’ve been lucky enough to work with:
In April, we’ll be chairing an Edinburgh Science Festival event with Andrew Bissell, Sunamp and Professor Colin Pulham, School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. From Handwarmers to Heating Homes: Combating Fuel Poverty, this event outlines how this highly successful academic-industrial collaboration has resulted in the development of heat batteries that reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and the levels of fuel poverty in social housing.
May will see Brian Brown of ARMED (Early Intervention & Prevention Solutions), H.A.S Technology Group take part in a session hosted by Dr Siobhán Jordan on Interdisciplinary research at The BioDundee International Conference. They will be joined by Professor Niamh Nic Daéid, Director of the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science, University of Dundee to explore the breadth and depth of Scotland’s world-leading research and how connections can be found in the unlikely of places leading to unlikely and successful combinations.
Hosted by Andrew Youngson of the Scottish Funding Council, Dr Siobhán Jordan, Dale Colley, Altitude Thinking and Douglas Morrison, City of Glasgow College will be speaking at College Expo 19 in June on how Innovation Vouchers are supporting Business Challenges through College collaborations.
Be sure to come along and join us and see for yourself the exciting work that is going on between industry and our world-leading academics. For a complete list of Interface events, please visit: https://interface-online.org.uk/events
