CSIC are hosting a “Building Better Homes” dissemination event to share the results gained from three innovative industry-led research and development projects within the housing sector.

The aim of this event is to inform the industry about the findings from each project and how that knowledge can benefit. The event will also raise awareness of the fantastic research being conducted to improve the way housing is procured and built.

Each project looked at different aspects within housing. Dandara and Robert Gordon University conducted a Passivhaus comparative build to create a Scottish Passivhaus supply chain. The Gannochy Trust and Glasgow School of Art used a unique BPE design methodology within a new build housing scheme to close the gap between design and performance. Loreburn Housing Association worked with Glasgow Caledonian University examining District Heating solutions and tenant engagement with the technology.

There is ample evidence to show that buildings impact our health, wellbeing and productivity. The construction industry needs to change how we think about designing, building, operating, and investing in buildings. This event will share unique research to benefit HA’s, RSl’s, Developers, House-Builders, Contractors and Sub-contractors and to help them make informed decisions in the future.

Lunch will be provided on the day.
