14 November 2019Edinburgh & Lothians
Venue: Bayes Centre, The University of Edinburgh, 47 Potterrow, Edinburgh
Time: 10:00 to 16:00
This event will explain how SMEs can exploit new technologies by taking advantage of the assistance available through the HPC-Europa programme.
Advanced simulation and data analysis techniques are increasingly important in maintaining a competitive edge, yet SMEs often lack the skills or hardware required to take advantage of them. The HPC-Europa programme supports SMEs in overcoming this resources gap.
HPC-Europa facilitates the uptake of high performance computing (HPC) by SMEs through:
o Funding visits to SMEs by HPC and software experts from industry and academia
o Providing HPC facilities and expert support for the duration of the visit and up to 4 months beyond
The programme funds travel, accommodation and a daily allowance for visitors from anywhere in Europe. Visits may be from 3 to 13 weeks in duration and are hosted by the SME.
HPC-Europa can also support reciprocal visits, paying for SME staff to visit experts in Europe.
Lunch is provided, and all are welcome.
