An event from Scottish Partnership in Energy and Engineering Research & Innovation (SPEERI) in partnership with CEED, on the immediate impact for Scottish Industry from Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics and Autonomous Systems.

Advanced Manufacturing (AM) and Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) have well-established presence in high volume, repeat processes manufacturing. However, there are still applications and sectors where the demonstrable benefits these technologies offer have been overlooked by industry. SPEERI, in partnership with CeeD is hosting an event to support the wider manufacturing sector in adopting AM-RAS technologies in currently under-utilised areas, particularly in bespoke and re-manufacturing scenarios.

Stakeholders from across industry, will be joined by academics from leading universities, research and technology centres, and dedicated support agencies to discuss several important topics:

• Commercial needs
• Predicted future operating environment
• Available technologies, their suitability, and benefits
• Emerging state of the art technologies
• How to collaborate for technology adaption and de-risked adoption
• Available supports

Targeted outcomes from this event include inspiring commercial organisations to develop ambition for advanced technology adoption, demonstrate importance and value of collaboration with SPEERI university members, and set pathways for further enabling activity that drives towards securing long-term national growth.

Join the forum to become informed of impactful, state-of-the-art technologies and participate in discussions that assist and influence the creation and introduction of effective new ways to improve manufacturing for social, environmental, and economic benefit.

Interface will be exhibiting at this event. Come along and meet Louise Arnold and Lesley Judge.
