Tay Create launch

30th October 2026

Interface is proud to be part of Tay Create, a major new investment in the Tay Cities Region’s creative and digital economy.

Tay Create brings together universities, industry, public bodies and cultural organisations to build on the region’s strengths in games, design, creative technology and digital innovation.

Backed by £20 million from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), the partnership will help businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers turn ideas into new products and services, access specialist facilities and expertise, and take innovations from prototype through to investment and scale-up.

Tay Create will combine creative, design and computer science expertise to support innovation across sectors including the creative industries, manufacturing, health, energy and the wider digital economy.

The core partnership organisations include Abertay University, the University of Dundee, the University of St Andrews, V&A Dundee, Creative Scotland, Techscaler, Interface, UK Games Talent and Finance CIC, 4J Studios, Chroma Developments and Biome Collective.

As a partner, Interface will provide support systems, funding expertise and cross sector opportunities for the partnership. Through this collaboration, we will help businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers develop new products and services, access specialist support and take innovations from prototype through to investment and scale-up.

We look forward to working with partners across the region and beyond to create new opportunities, attract investment and support high-value jobs.
